Cowgirl Interlude (thanks chickens…)

It’s amazing what you can do with chicken wire, but it’s also amazing what chicken wire can do to you…

As one clever individual once stated, “my hands are crying.”

The Misadventures of Miss Pookie and Her Traveling Circus

Day 1

It was freezing that day in North Carolina (well, almost literally). The trailer was packed the night before, it was just the essentials left to be thrown in the back of the pick up truck and the apartment needed a quick once over with an all purpose cleaner. Pookie was excited about her adventure back out west and glad her brother Sparky was helping her, but the whole morning had melancholy sprinkled about. Oh, to leave friends (and amazing ones at that!)

During the bustle that morning one of the cats bolted out the door. Pookie wasn’t concerned though, the 15lb. tabby had been cruising in and out  through out the whole chaotic packing and moving. Plus, it was 30 degrees outside, he’d be back.

Well, not back before lunch, a nap and few hours of  Kids in the Hall in an empty apartment seemed like a good idea. And certainly not back before popping open the champagne, grabbing the worst sushi ever and inviting Madge over seemed like the only proper things to do. The obese tabby did come back before bed, meaning he caught the ridiculous caravan that was headed out the next morning. A whole days worth of driving spent waiting for a cat, inebriated in an empty apartment.

once upon a time…

…. two wildly famous people had a conversation that went like this:

character 1: “that’s what i need to do! I need to make a tobogan that looks like a bob!!!!”

character 2: “that’s called a wig.”

to the tune of MGMT…

1. i love staring at trees in the wintertime… on a roadtrip to the north lands

2. i have the cutest sleeping nephew

3. i crossed a bridge from my youth

4. i would like to thank my iphone… for translating such lovely images                         and playing sweet tunes in my ears all at the same time!

To the Lady at the corner drugstore:

Don’t judge me. I can see it in your eyes, with way too much eyeliner by the way, that you are secretly judging me based solely on my purchase. That’s right, I am buying the 99 cent Aim toothpaste and paying for it in cash, with the tax in pennies. Hate me all you want, but I’m gonna keep doing it.

Step into our office.......

Welcome to a magical place! Where dirty laundry becomes presentable and the beer is a buck fiddy. Yes, such a place exists and it is the perfect environment to conduct official business and it is where the magic happens.
